Project's social value work shortlisted for esteemed MJ Award

North London Waste Authority (NLWA) has been shortlisted as one of six finalists for an MJ Award in the Innovation in Delivering Sustainability and Social Value category for the North London Heat and Power Project (NLHPP).

The MJ Awards acknowledge the effort of those in local government to support local communities. They recognise the organisations, projects and people making the biggest impact in local government across the UK. The Innovation in Delivering Sustainability and Social Value category recognises innovation in local authority projects or services that help drive sustainability and improve the quality of life and well-being of communities.

NLWA, in partnership with contractors, has undertaken extensive work to deliver social value and benefits to local communities across north London through NLHPP.  For more about the social value programme, visit our Community webpage.

A finalist awards ceremony will take place 21 June.
