Construction Update Video - December 2023
We’ve reached a significant milestone in the delivery of the NLHPP as operational testing of the new recycling facilities, known as the Resource Recovery Facility, is well underway.
Throughout December, waste delivery trials have been taking place, which make up part of a wider programme of testing and commissioning activities being carried out before the site is handed over to LondonEnergy for operational trails. The trials include the tipping of different types of waste, including food and garden, household, street, bulky, and bio waste.
In our latest construction update video, you will hear from both Taylor Woodrow and LondonEnergy who are working together closely to successfully carry out the testing and commissioning activities.
Once complete, EcoPark South will deliver a Resource Recovery Facility where borough vehicles will deliver rubbish to be sorted and sent for either reuse or recycling, and a new Reuse and Recycling Centre, where residents will be able to bring their recyclable and general rubbish to the EcoPark.
In addition to waste trial updates, you will also hear from one of the local community groups that received support in the first round of our RE-Power Communities programme, which is our commitment to giving time and resources to support voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations operating across north London.
