What will the Energy Recovery Facility look like?
The Energy Recovery Facility has a ‘shrink wrap’ design to keep height and shape to a minimum.
It has ‘steps’ down towards the Lee Valley Regional Park to break up the building. This was designed in response to feedback we received during our consultation with the local community.
We propose different materials for different parts of the facility to make the new building more responsive to its setting. Using colours means we can add depth and further reduce the perceived scale of the building.
There are pictures of what the facility could look like in our gallery.
You can also view a video of what the building will look like and where they will positioned on our project page
